Understanding youth's development in a digitalized society

I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna (Austria). I specialize in youth development and well-being in a digital society with the goal of promoting their positive development.

I believe that by understanding the motivations of digital media use (goals and values perspective), we can better understand how youth are affected by digital media and mitigate where needed. That is why I take a macroscopic perspective on youth’s online experiences by doing my science through a multidisciplinary lens.
